I'm having a problem when trying to post a reply. I don't know if this is my browser (FF), but when i pull down in the "make-the-reply-area-larger" thingy, (the gray, long line below where you write your reply) it wont let me release it again. This means that I cant use this function :) obviously..

(hope you understand what im saying)

Well,, thanks in advance :)
Been having the same problem.

A quick work around is to single click the bar, make the reply area the size you want,
then select bar and drag it up to the emoticons then release the mouse button.

Hope this eases the pressure :)

Is there any news on how long the Tech section will be out of action for? Is there any way we can get help on issues in the meantime? it seems like every available option gets you banned or suspended.

Disclaimer: The following is for my own information only, it is not a post for help on the Mainsite issue which it refers to, mearly a repository until I can post it in the proper section of the forum as it took a long time to write and didn't want to have to write it out again. Any information (help) regarding the problem which the rest of this post refers to should be sent via PM to me, not as a reply to this topic as the question has not yet been formally asked and will not be until it can be posted in the relevent section of the forum. Any replies within this topic regarding the problem in the spoiler below will more than likely result in a ban from the forum, although this will be at the discretion of the forum administrators and moderators.

We are trying to get it up as soon as possible and opened the Helper Thread again because we saw a lot of issues. I unfortunatly can't give you a time when those will be opened again.

Trying to find information about what to do about dead links, but it keeps taking me to a forum that says is missing or I don't have access to. I also read the Forum FAQs and it did the same thing. Helpz?

You can report dead links here: http://forum.ninjavideo.net/index.php?topic=37742.0 following the proper format.

The FAQ was just updated with the new link, where else did you say it was directing you to a missing or dead forum?

Just a heads up, for when your not busy. ;)

On the third line of the thread NinjaVideo Helper Applet FAQ, "We have separate threads that concern specifically Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari."
The Firefox, IE, and Safari links are incorrect.

They should be
Firefox
http://forum.ninjavideo.net/index.php?topic=37747.0
IE
http://forum.ninjavideo.net/index.php?topic=37748.0
Safari
http://forum.ninjavideo.net/index.php?topic=37749.0

By the way they look awesome. Great work.

Not sure if this is a "bug" or just the way it is supposed to work.

When I use spell check when posting and when it is finished I click on OK.
My browser, ususally IE8, will take me to the last tab opened, wether or not it is the page
I was Spell Checking.
If I have no tabs open of course it goes to the correct page.

Also I was wondering if the "Spell Check" function could be manipulated to add words etc. like a spell check in a word processor program. As far as bugs, When I choose to Ignore All. It does not seem to, I will come across the same word again and again.

One More: When I first come to the Forum and seem to have mail. PM's, A message box appears outside of the browser stating my mail can be read in a separate window.
But nothing happens, I just continue to the page I was going to. Maybe I'm doing something incorrectly?

Well that's all I can think up for now.

I have noticed that InkSmeardn76 already asked about the problem with uploading avatars, I just wanted to let you know, that I have the same problem, too. I hope not everyone is having it, because then it would be very stupid to point it out again. I get the error:

Quote
An Error Has Occurred!
The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved.

Same message for avatar from my computer and from tinypic.

Thanks for looking so well after the forum btw.

I'm hitting the same error.  Is this universal to the site?  Seems like the RWX permissions on the ninja images site isn't set to allow basic users to W?

Some backend forum changes were being made and in the process a crucial part of the directory path was left out by accident causing the error.  The problem should be fixed now.  Sorry for any inconvenience.

Please continue to report any errors you find.

Is it possible to have something like what is on the MS regarding the status of Ninja Radio on the Forum? It was like that before the upgrade.
Now to see who is "on" I must either go to the MS and look at the little box on the upper right side of the page OR
go to the Ninja Radio Thread and check each radio WRDJ's thread and or schedule.
Or click on "Ninja Radio" from the forum and listen and just enjoy. Which is what I do now.

One question. really one.
Why in my IE8 browser does the "open link in new tab/window" just not available for the main Eighteen buttons - "Pron" for example?

I'm not ignoring you dragonclaws, I read everything you post error wise.  I will look into the spell check thing, but don't think we can add to it in it's current setup.  As far as the ignore all button not working, I'll have to test it because I'm not sure if I have ever used that button.  Regarding the popup box for pms, that should work.  Check your profile settings to make sure you don't have the popup box for pms turned off.

Now on to your second post....the ninjaradio display will be added to the forum and I have had every intention to, but have been really busy lately and haven't had time to recode it.  So be patient on that, it will be coming back.  As for the main links not having the option to open in new window/tab....that's because they weren't coded in that fashion by default in smf, and would need to be coded in to do so....and again resorts back to my allotment of time.

All bugs you reported have been noted and I will go through each of them one by one as soon as I find the time.
